Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Onur Yildirim ("we", "us" or "our") develops and publishes the mobile game Tile Smash (the "Game"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you play the Game, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
By downloading or playing the Game you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
1. Who we are
Onur Yildirim is an independent game developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye. For the purposes of applicable data protection law (including the EU/UK GDPR and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, "KVKK"), Onur Yildirim is the data controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. Information we collect
The Game does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number to play.
2.1 Information collected automatically
When you play the Game, we and our third-party partners (see Section 4) automatically collect:
- Device information — device model, operating system and version, language, screen size, time zone, mobile carrier and network type.
- Identifiers — advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA / Google Advertising ID, where you have allowed them), an app-specific installation ID, and, on iOS, the Identifier for Vendors (IDFV).
- IP address and approximate location — we derive a coarse (country/city-level) location from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Gameplay data — levels played, progress, scores, session length, in-game events, features used and settings chosen.
- Purchase information — records of in-app purchases (product, price, currency, timestamp). Payment is processed by Apple or Google; we never receive your card or payment details.
- Advertising data — which ads were shown, viewed or clicked, and interactions with rewarded ads.
- Crash and performance data — crash logs, error reports and technical diagnostics used to keep the Game stable.
2.2 Information you provide to us
If you contact us for support (for example by email), we collect the information you choose to share, such as your email address and the content of your message.
3. How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain and provide the Game, including saving your progress.
- Fix bugs, diagnose crashes and improve performance.
- Understand how players use the Game so that we can improve levels, features and design.
- Deliver and measure advertising in the Game, including (with your consent where required) personalised ads.
- Measure the effectiveness of our own marketing campaigns (attribution).
- Process and verify in-app purchases and restore them across devices.
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect and prevent fraud, cheating, abuse and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Legal bases (GDPR / KVKK): we process your data on the basis of (a) performance of the contract with you (providing the Game), (b) our legitimate interests (analytics, security, improving the Game, contextual advertising), (c) your consent (personalised advertising and tracking, where required), and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted third-party services to run the Game. These partners may collect or receive information directly from your device through software development kits ("SDKs") built into the Game. Each partner processes data under its own privacy policy, linked below.
Analytics and crash reporting
Advertising (ad mediation and networks)
- AppLovin (MAX)
- Unity Ads
- Google AdMob
- ironSource (Unity LevelPlay)
- Meta Audience Network
- Mintegral
- Vungle / Liftoff
Attribution and marketing measurement
App stores and payments
We do not sell your personal data for money. However, sharing advertising identifiers with ad networks for personalised advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act). You can opt out as described in Section 5.
5. Advertising and your choices
The Game is free to play and supported by advertising. Ads may be contextual (based on the Game and general device information) or personalised (based on your advertising identifier and activity across apps).
You can limit personalised advertising at any time:
- iOS: when prompted by the App Tracking Transparency dialog, choose "Ask App Not to Track"; or go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable tracking for Tile Smash. You can also turn off Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalised Ads.
- Android: go to Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) and select "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalisation".
- In-game: where a consent dialog is shown (for example in the EU/UK), you can change your choices at any time from the Game's settings menu.
Turning off personalised ads does not remove ads from the Game; you will still see contextual ads.
Do Not Track: the Game does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as it is not a website. We honour platform-level opt-out settings as described above.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
- Gameplay and analytics data is retained for up to 24 months and then deleted or aggregated so that it can no longer identify a device.
- Crash logs are retained for up to 12 months.
- Purchase records are retained for as long as required for accounting, tax and dispute-resolution obligations.
- Support correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after the request is resolved.
Third-party partners retain data according to their own policies.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls and reputable cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
Tile Smash is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies under local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where required by app-store policies, we configure our advertising and analytics partners to treat users as under the age of consent.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at onur_yildirim34@hotmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. International data transfers
We are based in Türkiye, and our partners operate globally, including in the United States and the European Union. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, for transfers out of Türkiye, the mechanisms permitted under KVKK.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data and of targeted advertising (US state laws).
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for example the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu), your EU data protection authority, or the UK ICO.
To exercise these rights, email us at onur_yildirim34@hotmail.com. Because the Game does not use accounts, we may ask for your device's advertising ID or installation ID to locate your data. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30 days).
Deleting your data: uninstalling the Game removes locally stored data from your device. To have server-side data deleted, contact us as described above.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top, and for material changes we will provide notice in the Game or on this page. Your continued use of the Game after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
